NIH BEST Practices Workshop
The NIH BEST Consortium is pleased to announce the BEST Practices Workshop, sponsored by the NIH Common Fund and Burroughs Wellcome Fund. This workshop is free and will be held on September 6 and 7 in Orlando, Florida, immediately prior to the 2017 AAMC GREAT Group Professional Development Meeting.
Purpose of Workshop
The goal of this workshop is to share with the biomedical research training community best practices and lessons learned from the NIH Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training (BEST) Programs, and offer practical guidance on how to motivate, create, implement and evaluate career and professional development opportunities for doctoral and postdoctoral scholars.
There will be four interactive panel sessions on:
Workshops and Courses
Internships and Experiential Learning
Data Collection and Importance of Tracking

Workshop registration and travel award applications are now available. Travel award applications will be accepted until June 1, 2017.
Travel awards will be offered to support the costs of attending the BEST Practices Workshop and the 2017 AAMC GREAT Group Professional Development Meeting. For more information about the travel awards being offered, please click here.
