ABSTRACT: With the number of faculty positions constant and an increasing number of PhDs trained, an opportunity has emerged to rethink training of PhDs. The Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training (BEST) Program at Cornell provides opportunities for exposure to the many career possibilities suited to PhDs, and empowers trainees to gain skills and experience while still on campus to augment their future success, no matter what career path they pursue. Hear examples about how BESTies have sculpted their career path and advice they have for others.

Seminar host: Mike Scanlon, Professor at Cornell's School of Integrative Plant SciencePlant Biology Section
