2015 BBS Symposium: "Engage your future in science"
Interested students and post-docs can attend a Career Panel Discussion with members of academia, industry and government to ask questions about how and when career choices are made. Trainees and faculty are invited to our NIH Grantsmanship Colloquium, where a program officer from the NIAID will present updates on funding priorities, pitfalls of the Research Strategy section, and common reasons for application triage - all with plenty of time to answer questions. We have great "Three Minute" poster presenters from all across campus (twenty-two faculty judges!), faculty talks, and a new Faculty Forum poster session, where interested rotation students can engage recruiting faculty one-on-one about research in their lab. We'll have Cornell Dairy Bar Ice Cream, special symposium deals from our sponsor vendors, and a Keynote Address from Dr. Arturo Casadevall (Johns Hopkins), all set in the central location of beautiful Stocking Hall (home of the Dairy Bar). Join us for a day of science as it should be, and leave your lab or office behind for the day!
The 2015 BBS Symposium: "Engage your future in science" promises to be an exciting science meeting, and we hope you will enjoy these multiple new initiatives for this year.
