Professional Product Design Studio

MSE/CHEME/MAE 7070 gives students essential product design experience by working in teams to transform an idea or technology into a potentially successful new product.  Guidance and lectures are provided on essential concepts by invited guest lecturers and Mark Hurwitz, who share real-world design experience and provide useful feedback on student projects. Open to grad students in any field.

This course is excellent preparation for engineering students who are interested in the Ph.D. Commercialization Fellows Program but have not yet passed their A exam or are unsure that their research is suitable for commercialization.

Taught this fall & will be offered in the fall in future years.

If this sounds interesting to you, please take a look at the overview.

Mark will be happy to meet with anyone who has questions or would like to discuss further.
